Who says fruit must be eaten raw? Recent concerns about food-borne illness from fresh produce does not mean you cannot eat what you have already purchased. This recipe shows you how to enjoy grapes safely. Eat them as a side dish, as part of a charcuterie board, or as a topping for roasted meat or chicken. This recipe also works for stone fruits such as peaches, plums, and cherries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups seedless grapes

  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinaigrette dressing

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Thoroughly wash grapes.

  3. Add grapes and balsamic to bowl and marinate for 15 to 30 minutes.

  4. Arrange grapes in single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until skins begin to blister.

  7. Cool before serving.

Notes

You can use a prepared balsamic salad dressing or simply make your own from balsamic vinegar and olive oil
